Jolene began practicing pilates in 2004 after a sports related injury from collegiate gymnastics. Jolene was a competitive gymnast from early childhood into college. Her vigorous workout routine abruptly changed after another injury. Jolene quickly foundher new passion after beginning to take pilates classes to supplement her workout regimen and to aid in the recovery from her injury. After two years of practicing and perfecting, Jolene became certified and began teaching as she finished her graduate schooling. Over the past 9 years, she has gained her experience and expertise through teaching at numerous gyms and a studios in Connecticut, Boston and San Francisco. Jolene has just returned back to the Boston area after spending a year in California and is eager to continue her love as an instructor at BURN Fitness Studios.
Jolene received her bachelors in science from Springfield College in 2005 and her masters in science from Southern Connecticut State University in 2007. Jolene’s passion has always centered around health and fitness. Her desire to inspire, educate and change the lives of those around herhas always been a love and focus throughout her athletic and fitness endeavors. She was educated under the motto of “Spirit, Mind and Body” and wishes to share her devotion towards a healthy and happy lifestyle with those around her. Jolene is a compassionate young woman whose motivational demeanor, creative teaching style and enthusiastic persona, make any individual a perfect match for her class.
Jolene's pilates classses are up-beat, intense and an overall fun and intense work-out for those wanting to focus on toning and flexibility with a focus on core strengthening.
